About the Author

Richard “Rich” Rumple currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky, after having grown up in Indiana, with New York, Chicago, Mobile, Baton Rouge, and Europe all mixed in between.

With “Train of Blood” being his latest offering, Rich enters the realm of the Horror/Western genre after two novel sized books of short stories (“Gabriela: Tales From A Demon Cat” and “Deranged Minds”) and two previous novels (“They Lurk In Summer” and “Horror Across the Alley”). His writing has been accepted internationally, as well, in several short story anthologies and with others yet to be published later this year.

“Some of my fans think it strange that I go from performing stand-up to writing horror. Actually, the two compliment each other. Performing helped me to understand audience needs and expectations. Writing helps me take those to a new level. People need an adrenaline rush from time to time, and creating that gives me one, too. It’s similar to when I did stand-up comedy and got the audience laughing–there is no better feeling than to be able to take their minds off of their daily problems and provide them an escape.”
