A twisted tale of two estranged sisters whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

Lee Cronin – Director

Lee Cronin is known for directing Ghost Train (2013), winner of the Méliès d’Argent for Best European Fantastic Short Film. Also for the shorts Billy & Chuck (2011) and Through the Night (2010).

His debut feature film, The Hole in the Ground (2019) premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2019 and won a Saturn Award nomination for Breakthrough Director.

His next release, Evil Dead Rise will release at the New Line Cinema on April 21st.

In Evil Dead Rise, Cronin works with the camera by director Dave Garbett (“Z for Zachariah,” “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans”), production designer Nick Bassett (“Guns Akimbo,” “Sweet Tooth”), editor Bryan Shaw (“Ash vs Evil Dead,” “Spartacus”), costume designer Sarah Voon (“Chasing Great,” “Inside”) and Stephen McKeon (“The Hole in the Ground,” “Primeval”).

Cast

Alyssa Sutherland

Alyssa Sutherland is known for her role on Vikings (2013) as “Princess Aslaug”. She has been a model for big brands for most part of her life, in Australia and New York.

Nevertheless, she has joined independent films like The Fortune Theory (2013), Don’t Look Up (2009), and Day on Fire (2006), screened at the Toronto and Berlin Film Festivals. Besides, you can also see her in NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and New Amsterdam.

Lily Sullivan

Lily Sullivan is also Australian. Her first role in a film was in 2012, MENTAL. She was nominated for Best Young Actor and Best Performance by a Young Actor by the Film Critics Circle of Australia.

She starred PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK, premiering at Berlin Film Festival and screened on Foxtel, Amazon and the BBC. We can also find her in ROMPER STOMPER for Stan and JUNGLE at MIFF 2017.

Her performance also won her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Cinema des Antipodes Saint Tropez Film Festival.

Morgan Davies

Morgan’s iconic appearance in “Devil’s Playground” for Foxtel and in Alice Englert’s short film ‘The Boyfriend Game’, premiered at TIFF.

He had a leading role in “The Girlfriend Experience”, ‘Storm Boy’, and also “The End”, by See-Saw Films.

Morgan’s debut was in ‘The Tree’. Directed by Julie Bertuccelli, the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

The following year, Morgan appeared in ‘The Hunter’, based on a novel by Julia Leigh. The film, starring Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
