BOOK REVIEW – Farewell Ghost by Larry Caldwell – An atmosphere of terror and disorientation.

Farewell Ghost is a rollercoaster of different emotions every horror fan loves to feel.

They say tormented souls never rest in peace so they stick around, but this is next level. The euphoria and intensity of a famous rockstar cannot die with its corpse, right?

This evil chasing of souls, race against the “rest in peace” moves the reader throughout the book speeding up the story, so you never drop the narration.

It is indeed so easy to read, not in simplicity but in clarity of the writing.

The story is so original: how far could you get to hold onto immortality? Hatred, resentment, self-destruction and perversion lead the way of the characters. You don’t have to wait too much for the paranormal to embrace you in this book. Caldwell is a mysterious storyteller and which horror fan doesn’t like a good rockstar disturbing tale? Both joining together to create an atmosphere of terror and disorientation.

Where did the nightmare begin? Perhaps before our phantom hit the ground to crush into hell… find it out by yourself. This story will remain in your mind, and you’ll watch over your shoulder every time you listen to that heavy metal-rock album you (used) to love.

Enjoy!

When rock-star Rocco Boyle dies at the height of his fame, guitarist Clay Harper losses the idol whose life he always wanted. In his wildest dreams, Clay never imagined that he’d soon be living on the infamous estate where Boyle died.
Or that Boyle would still be in residence….
But in the hills of Los Angeles, things are seldom what they seem, and despite all warnings, Clay ventures deep into the city’s underbelly—touring its famous rock clubs and hangouts, auditioning for a rising local band led by the talented and alluring Savy Marquez—to discover what really happened the night Boyle died….
And though the answer is terrifying, uncovering it may be the very thing that launches Clay to stardom of his own.
Populated with devils, spirits, record execs, and other frightful creatures, Farewell Ghost is a tale of rock-star dreams turned otherworldly nightmare.
