It’s been a while so I’ll probably keep this short and sweet….2023 gave us a LOT of decent horror movies. Smile, Evil Dead Rise etc just to name a few. With this post I’m gonna go through and list what I am excited for in the upcoming year.
Imaginary
I’m guessing Universal is trying to piggy back off the hype of M3GAN from last year but this has me hyped. A demonic teddy bear that can grow in size? The ending of the trailer where it looked like an actual bear attacking someone got me. This will be the money maker.
Night Swim
I know this movie just came out recently but the trailer sold me. To go swimming at night and be stalked by some kind of demonic entity IN YOUR OWN POOL is scary enough, now when I go swimming in the summer, I’m gonna be swimming with all the lights on because it’s way too quiet where I am to have them off, haha.
Terrifier 3
While these movies are wayyyyyyy too gory for my liking, and believe me I love gore in my horror movies, considering this is a Christmas movie will have me in the theater on night 1.
Smile 2
Last but not least….Smile 2. I loved the first one so much I watched it 3 times in one calendar year, AND met the main chick at a Monster Mania con a few months back. I’m hoping they expand on the whole curse aspect and show more of how it actually starts because, well, how can you be scared of someone smiling?
