If you think you can’t write all the time, you’re wrong. Perhaps you have a different set of priorities. That’s all there is to it.
I know many people talk about habits, make this change to grow your habit, once you form a habit it’s hard to break, and more clichés than you can shake a stick at.
While I am sure they are correct about lifestyle choices- is writing really a habit? Personally, I don’t think a writing routine can ever be a habit. Writing is an art form. It’s a release valve, an escape, or your livelihood even.

One might also have to try to attain a “zone” for the ideas to come, let alone write. I get thoughts that could possibly be turned into stories, but I would forget them before pulling out a pad & pen. That, or by the time I get to the computer, the train done left the building, to add another cliche.
So true, like when you remember a dream only for 30 seconds and then completely vanishes.
Oh I hate it when that happens! The worst is as I’m falling asleep and I have the best idea but too sleepy to bother getting up to note it, and of course in the morning it’s gone!
