The album focuses on one of the darkest periods of humanity…the Medieval Europe and the destruction that the plague and the Church bestowed upon the people across the land.
Musically and lyrically, this album aims to portray the infinite darkness that the people endured at the hands of the murderous clergy that blamed the pestilence on the sinful nature of man, claiming that God has sent this disease to rid the world of wickedness.
Heavier than any of previous Gravis Terrae releases, with tons of experimentation and genre blending, the album still retains the bleak black metal roots.
