Yet again, another series but also a good one.
Yes, we have heard the plight of Jonathan Harker. But this new take on the King of Vampires and his time with Mr. Harker is told in a new light.
Jonathan is sent to Castle Dracula to complete the deed for Carfax Abbey. He is left at a location for the count’s carriage to pick him up. The locals dare not to go near the castle for they have a fear of the place. It is a fear that Jonathan soon gets to experience up close.
This story, however, begins with Jonathan at a convent. He is telling his story of his stay at the castle to two nuns. Baffled by his deathly appearance and intrigued by his story, Sister Agatha asks many questions and soon you learn she is much more than just a nun. She knows of the evil of Dracula and seems to want to have her moment to take him down.
The series goes from the castle to the Demeter to the Americas. With many twists and changes in the modern tale, it can be a bit confusing. But it is worth a gander if you have patience.
