I am not vain nor insane
to want to cast my eyes
upon that which I created
marvel at the flesh
reborn
all my dreams
tied together in knots and stitches
he stands in offering to me
I stand in confusion
not that I am
but why
I have not lived enough
to define what makes me
born from Heaven’s wires
and a man’s pride
for now
I am but a reflection
my father’s son
may God have mercy upon us both
