Jeepers Creepers is a wink to the trad horror fans. Jump scares, blood, teenagers that return again and again where they are to be slaughtered… I love it! The character Vuorensola has created for this new release reminds me of the tone used in Sin City (not a horror movie but a pretty much bloody one, which I’m a huge fan of).

The characters approach the origins of this creature which scares the hell out of the town every 23 years. It has been criticised for being cheesy, but that’s exactly, in my opinion, the best about trad horror. And it doesn’t leave this essence behind!

Coming to DVD, bluray and digital on December 26. On the last day of The Creeper’s 23 day feeding frenzy, Sergeant Tubbs teams up with a task force hell-bent on destroying the creature for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as his enemies get close to discovering his dark origins.

A new trilogy of JEEPERS CREEPERS is in the oven by the hand of Timo Vuorensola, new director of the project, which was grabbed by Screen Media. Sean Michael Argo is in charge of the script and it promises to be scarier than any of the prior installments.

Just as the epic comic, this new perspective aims to catch the attention of new generations. The landscapes the plot develops in are from London, Texas, Finland and Louisiana.

It all started out as a thesis project, but, once Devon dug deep into the myths of the dragon man, he discovered truths that he wishes he had left alone! Devon’s quest has, literally, awakened a sleeping monster and now this young man comes face-to-face with the Creeper! What horrors will this immortal demon wreak? Does Devon have even a chance to survive?

Synopsis of the previous movie

The film unfolds as the Horror Hound festival holds its first ever event in Louisiana, where it attracts hundreds of geeks, freaks and die-hard horror fans from far and wide. Among them is fanboy Chase and his girlfriend Laine, who is forced to come along for the ride.

But as the event approaches, Laine begins to experience unexplained premonitions and disturbing visions associated with the town’s past, and in particular, local legend/urban myth The Creeper. As the festival arrives and the blood-soaked entertainment builds to a frenzy, Laine believes that something unearthly has been summoned and that she is at the center of it.
