#authorwilliamschumpert is a Horror Author and Illustrator born and raised in Oklahoma. Horror has always been a highlight with his life. A cancer survivor since 1998 storytelling has always been his focus, even as finding a career was difficult growing up.From Grade School to College I’ve studied Art and Writing. I graduated with a BA in Art Communications, with studies in Mass Com, Development Psychology, Writers Comp, World History, Script Writing, and Films. He wrote his first story in College (The Mansion of Bagger’s Hill available in Vol 1 of Fright Vault) and had work featured in Southern Nazarene University’s poetry collection. Since that time he has written #horror and #manga. As of 2022 he has been featured in multiple podcasts and has thousands of followers on social media.

Best- creative process Worst- juggling all the work

TV, books, music, video games. Mainly entertainment

What scares you the most?

People not being scared of my work. The horror of revisions…

What is the greatest challenge you have overcome?

24 year brain cancer survivor

What would you tell a reader that has still not started one of your books?

Don’t be scared. You can read demos. They don’t bite… too hard.

If you ended up on a deserted island, what two items would you want to have with you (beyond water and food)?

A solar panel and computer

It seems to be returning to an indie/creepy presentation, and I love it

Dracula and Frankenstein

How do you think social media has influenced horror?

In the same way it’s helped to inspire so many genres and marketing
