Horror Anthology Review by Brianna Malotke – “HorrorScope: A Zodiac Anthology”

TBM Horror - review by brianna malotke - HorrorScope A Zodiac Anthology

Flipping through the pages of this horror anthology you’ll be able to see right away that there’s something for every horror fan. Each of the twelve zodiac symbols are represented with one poem and two short stories. This means there’s 36 different horror authors included in this book. That’s 36 different voices and writing styles that are woven together by Harriet Everend, the editor of this anthology.

With so many authors in one anthology you may think that it’d be difficult to cohesively move from one zodiac sign to another, from poetry to short story, but HorrorScope does it. Not to mention, the lovely illustrations by Ashley Scheller that start off each section help you seamlessly make your way from zodiac to zodiac.

Each piece is inspired by the astrological sign’s traits.

As promotions and open calls are any indicator, Everend is already setting up Volumes 2 through 4 to keep this anthology series going.

Blurb from Amazon: “It is said that destiny is determined by the stars. The signs of the Zodiac can predict who you’ll love, who you’ll hate, and who you’ll become. But the fates written in the stars are not always kind. Sometimes, they’re terrifying.”
