“Down and Out in Vampire Hills” is a brilliant short film that marries elements of horror and comedy, boasting a script penned by none other than Dr. Heather Joseph-Witham, celebrated for her work on “Vampires in the Big Easy.” The film’s directorial and editing prowess comes courtesy of Craig Railsback, known for his contributions to “Rush: The Director’s Cut” and “Dark Classics.” The film’s original soundtrack, including the mesmerizing theme song “Dancing in the Moonlight,” is the creation of Dr. Renah Wolzinger, a Voting Member of the Grammy Recording Academy, and Keith Wolzinger. The soundtrack is now enjoying airplay on more than two hundred channels, a testament to its allure.

The production of “Down and Out in Vampire Hills” was a collaborative effort, featuring the talents of Dawna Lee Heising, Heather Joseph-Witham, Renah Wolzinger, Craig Railsback, Sean Glumace, and Joseph Williamson as producers. The film’s cinematography was expertly handled by Craig Railsback and Vito Trabucco, with Liam Railsback serving as assistant director and Keith Wolzinger as assistant editor for music. Sound engineering was a joint effort between Jim Dunlap and Liam Railsback, while Sean Glumace and Dan Kennedy lent their skills as set photographers. “Down and Out in Vampire Hills” is a product of the collaborative efforts of Eye on Excellence Productions, Railsback Productions, and Renzone Music Studios. The film was skillfully shot in various picturesque locations throughout Huntington Beach, including the iconic Main Street and the Huntington Beach pier.
