to venture into the unknown
is to give yourself
the will to fail
for truly lost is the soul
who cannot find himself
when it’s dark
and it’s not only the light
that can heal a broken mind
that darkness binds you
roots you to the earth
keeps you centred
reminds you that
all things are finite
all things are eternal
when you feel
like it has swallowed you
that you have been erased
embrace it as a part of you
and let it make you whole again
