In Murky Divers, up to four players team up to pilot a submarine and explore the remnants of Pharma Corps’ failed experiments. Players must remove corpses and destroy evidence of unethical research while avoiding numerous dangers, including the police and terrifying sea creatures like krakens. The game features procedurally generated maps, ensuring that each playthrough offers a fresh and unpredictable experience.
The gameplay emphasizes teamwork and strategic navigation using sonar to avoid hazards and locate objectives. Players earn credits from previous missions, which can be used to purchase items and modules to improve their chances of success in future expeditions. The game’s developers have also included elements of dark humor, balancing the intense atmosphere with light-hearted moments.
Embers, based in Strasbourg, France, aims to engage with the community through Early Access on Steam, allowing for player feedback to shape the game’s development.
