When a group of would-be criminals kidnaps the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, they believe the hardest part will be collecting the $50 million ransom. Tasked with simply watching the girl overnight in an isolated mansion, the kidnappers quickly find themselves dwindling in number. To their growing terror, they realize they are not just dealing with any ordinary child.

Directed by Radio Silence—the team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for modern horror hits like Ready or Not, Scream (2022), and Scream VIAbigail offers a bold, bloody new take on the vampire genre. The screenplay, penned by Stephen Shields (The Hole in the Ground, Zombie Bashers) and Guy Busick (Scream franchise, Ready or Not), crafts a narrative filled with tension and horror.

Abigail stars Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Freaky), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood) as the kidnappers. Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Darklands) takes on the titular role of Abigail.

The film is produced by William Sherak (Scream franchise, Ready or Not), Paul Neinstein (Scream franchise; executive producer, The Night Agent), and James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, Scream franchise) for Project X Entertainment. Additional production is handled by Tripp Vinson (Ready or Not, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) and Radio Silence’s Chad Villella (executive producer Ready or Not and Scream franchise). Ron Lynch and Macdara Kelleher serve as executive producers.

The directors, known collectively as Radio Silence, have crafted a visually stunning and narratively compelling film that blends traditional vampire elements with modern, balletic presentation. The film has been praised for its innovative approach and strong performances, particularly by Alisha Weir as Abigail.
