If you are looking for a blood gushing, monster movie, look no further. Animal stars Joey Adams, Elizabeth Gillies and Paul Lacono. This movie follows a group of friends on a weekend trip and their decision to hike through the woods. Each character fits the stereotypical teen mold, so you are already naming who is going to die first. That’s not a bad thing.
As the teens start out, you get the feeling that there are underlying issues within the group. These things are the least of their worries. As they begin to discover they are lost, they also learn they are in danger. There is a major predator luring in the woods and it quickly takes out one of the party. The youth find refuge in a rinky, dink cabin where they learn they are not the only ones being hunted. While in the cabin they are met with two more individuals who are aware of the threat and are doing what they can to stay alive.
As tensions mount and the creature begins to pick off the cast one by one, revelations are made that could tear the friendships to pieces. In the end, with everything that happens, you wonder if anyone is going to make it out alive.
